The private wealth revolution is well and truly in train. A recent report by Oliver Wyman suggested that 60% of private markets AUM growth in the next five years will come from individual investors. The share of AUM held by individuals has been forecast to grow by 25% per annum between 2023 and 2028. Family offices remain a key driver of allocations in to private markets. In the 2024 UBS family office survey, 71% of respondents regarded private equity’s long-term returns as likely to be better than those in public equities.
