Dear IPEM friends,

I hope you are doing well and staying positive! We have been in touch with many of you over the last few weeks and felt a real will of our community to reconnect in person after months of travel and conference starvation. The current context is obviously not easy to navigate but we, at IPEM, must be even more agile, creative, and pragmatic to serve the private equity industry and to deliver the best possible event experience.

This is the reason why we decided to relocate IPEM 2021 for a one-off event in Paris, at the Longchamp racecourse next 8/9 September. Please mark your calendar! This prestigious venue is the perfect spot to catch-up, as everyone has been waiting to do for more than a year. It reunites all the ingredients that make IPEM in Cannes extraordinary: a relaxed “garden-party” type of atmosphere (Longchamp is the largest outdoor venue in Paris and perhaps in Europe, and only 15’ away from the Champs-Elysées) mixed with our super-efficient and energetic business format. We are expecting 2,000 participants / 600 companies / 250 LPs / 250 GPs and will open our revamped MyIPEM digital platform as soon as June, to help you prepare your meetings. Be ready!

We also see this special Paris edition as a key moment for our industry. Private equity has been in the frontstage since the beginning of this crisis and has handled the situation with outstanding courage and determination. Overall, there is a “coming of age” sentiment that gives private equity more responsibilities in the economy and society, and more room for expansion. Private equity will be instrumental for the “building back better” challenges ahead of us. This journey will start at IPEM 2021 in Paris.

Last, we know how much you miss the unique touch of Cannes and the lights of the Mediterranean (and we miss them too!). Thus, IPEM will be back in Cannes on February 1/2/3, 2022. We feel grateful and energized by the tremendous support and excitement that you have shown for our plans in the last weeks. With such a strong and supportive community, we know that IPEM 2021 and 2022 will be enormous successes.
